The Align Smile Clinic takes pride in providing patients and referring offices with the highest level of care and service. Our clinical staff - Janet and Kristy - strive to make every appointment fun and relaxed. Our office administrators - Cheryl and Jill - are available to answer all your questions, from appointments and insurance claims, to how to find us.

Jill will be one of the first people you meet here at Align Smile Clinic.  She is our Treatment Coordinator, and it's her job to make your time with us as pleasant as possible.  Jill will take you through your new patient exam, and help facilitate an easy transition into Orthodontic treatment.  Jill graduated from the Certified Dental Assisting program at Vancouver Community College in 2003, and since then has taken countless continuing education courses to maintain the highest professional level possible.  She obtained her orthodontic training here at Okanagan College, and has been concentrating on her management and customer service skills since then.  

Jill's passion is definitely travelling.  She has been blessed with opportunities to travel all over the world, and is next looking forward to a volunteer vacation using her dental skills in 2012.   Jill has been volunteering here in Kelowna since moving here in 2003.  She was instrumental in starting the non-profit dental clinic at Kelowna's Gospel Mission, and loved the opportunity to work with 'her' patients there.  Jill now volunteers her time with IWEN Canada, working to educate women and families in Nepal as well as here in Kelowna.  IWEN was the benificiary of our most recent fundraiser here in the office - we raised $800 at our last open house!   

Cheryl is our receptionist at Align Smile Clinic.  She has many years of customer service, and is a huge asset to our team.  Cheryl is our 'go to' person for any questions concerning insurance billings, contracts and appointments in the office - she will take the time to explain your coverage and options to you, and work with you to find the most seamless billing process possible!  

An avid outdoors person, Cheryl enjoys hiking, biking, snowshoeing and skiing.  When work and family life allow, you can also find her off travelling somewhere in the world.  Her next venture is to Africa, volunteering her time rehabilitating endangered animals on a game reserve this winter.

Janet has been a CDA for . . .  well let's just say a really long time :)  She graduated from Vancouver Vocational Institute,  and completed her Orthodontic training at UBC as well.  She has worked all over the province, but when it came time to start a family, Janet and husband Mark decided to settle in the best place on Earth. . .  Kelowna.  Janet loves her job and her patients.  She finds it incredibly rewarding to see them finish treatment and smile with their new found confidence.

Janet's kids (Kelsey and Josh) have both been through Orthodontics with Drs. Scramstad, so she knows what it's like adapting meals on appointment days and finding elastics all over the house!  Now that the kids have moved out, Janet and Mark are finding time for their own interests:  hiking, geocaching, photography and kayaking.  The newest member of the family, Dudley the dog, also enjoys these activities. . .  except the kayaking - he hasn't learned how to handle a paddle yet!  

Kristy is our newest addition.  She graduated with Academic Excellence from the Certified Dental Assisting program at West Coast College in 2007, and completed her Orthodontic training at UBC in Vancouver.  She brings first hand knowledge and understanding to her patients here, having gone through extensive Orthodontic treatment herself.  Kristy is now completing Invisalign therapy, and is more than happy to answer any treatment related questions you may have!  

In June 2010 Kristy and Anthony moved into their home on the Westside with their Pomeranian "Pete" and Persian "Princess".  They have a recently added "Bentley" to the family - a Yorkshire Terrier puppy - and have been enjoying the adjustment!  In her spare time, Kristy enjoys movies, baking and crafts, and everything else the Okanagan has to offer!
